A slower day in Bellford

Lies das originale englische Material und antworte mit Belegen. Die Stufe ist eine redaktionelle Orientierung, kein zertifiziertes Ergebnis.

Last weekend, my friend Rosa and I visited Bellford. We wanted to climb the hill above the town, but heavy rain changed our plan. At the station, a volunteer suggested the old boat museum. It was smaller than we expected, yet the guide made it interesting. He let us touch some ropes and explained how families once lived on the boats. We spent almost two hours there. For lunch, we tried a cafe opposite the museum. My soup was excellent, but Rosa’s sandwich was rather dry. In the afternoon, the rain stopped. We walked beside the river instead of climbing the hill because the path was still wet. The riverside walk was free and took forty minutes. We caught the six o’clock train home. Next time, I would visit the museum again, but I would bring a packed lunch and check the hill path before leaving home.
