Repair Saturday

Read the original English material and answer with evidence. The level is an editorial guide, not a certified result.

The Oak Street Centre is holding its first Repair Saturday on 18 May, from ten until three. Volunteers will help people repair small household objects such as lamps, bags and wooden toys. They cannot work on large kitchen machines. The event is free, but visitors must pay for any new parts. Please book one thirty-minute session by calling the centre before Wednesday. Bring only one object to your session so that everyone has a fair chance. You can watch the repair and learn some useful skills; volunteers will not simply take the object away. Children under twelve can attend with an adult. Tea is available in the garden, where local artists will also show their work. If it rains, the art display will move into the upstairs room, but repairs will stay in the main hall. The organisers hope the event will reduce waste and help neighbours get to know one another.
